100% Of External Debt Owed By Afrika Should Be Cancelled - Jeffrey Sachs

The Mali branch of the anti-debt coalition Jubilee 2000 held a conference in Siby in 2002, part of a growing international campaign for debt cancellation.

In 2004, American economist Jeffrey Sachs told Afrikan leaders and diplomats they should call on rich nations to cancel "100 per cent of the debt" owed by highly
indebted countries, most of which are in Afrika.

If they did not, "I would suggest obstruction -- you do it yourselves," Sachs said in the conference dealing with Afrika's perennial food crises.

"The time has come to end this charade, the debts are unaffordable," he added. "No civilised
country should try to collect the debts of people that are dying of hunger and disease and
poverty."

"...we need this money to meet the needs of children who are dying, right now, so, we will put the debt-servicing payments into urgent social investment in health, education, drinking water, the control of AIDS, and other needs"

Economic analysis, he said, had shown that it was impossible for Afrika to achieve its development goal of halving poverty if it had to repay the loans.

As at the end of December 2017 the Jubilee Debt Campaign analysis shower that Afrika owed a total of $417bn.

Of the $417bn, $100bn (24%) was owed by Afrikan governments to the Chinese government and $40bn (10%) to the ‘Paris Club’ governments – an informal group of official creditors, including 22 countries.

The charity also found that at the end of December 2017 Afrikan governments owed $66bn (16% of the debt) to the World Bank, $18bn (4%) to the IMF and $61bn to other multilateral institutions (15%).
Up to $132bn was owed to the private sector (32%).

Also, Afrika has about 400 million living in extreme poverty, and about 600 million without electricity yet spends about 50% of budget on debt payment.

"For impoverished nations struggling to meet the human needs of their people, full 100 per cent multilateral debt cancellation is the only option.”
-- Afrikan Social Forum, December 2004

B-r-e-a-k-i-n-g Nigeria Signs AfCFTA Agreement in Niamey, Niger

President Muhammad Buhari of Nigeria has signed the Afrikan Continental Free Trade Area Agreement.

The signing has just taken place at the 12th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the Union on AfCFTA and the First Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the Afrikan Union and the Regional Economic Communities in Niamey, Niger Republic.
Buhari appended his signature to the document about 10.48 am .
Nigeria has become the 53rd county in Afrika to sign the AfCFTA agreement.

ABOUT THE ACFTA
The Afrikan Continental Free Trade Area ACFTA is an economic unifying deal that was  recently signed by Afrikan leaders in 14 March 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda. The deal was initiated by the Afrikan Union in the year 2012.

The aim according to AU is to
I. Create a single Afrikan market
II. To open up the borders
III. To allow the free movement of people, goods and services across Afrika.
IV. To Speed up the unification of Afrika into one country: The United Afrika.
V. The aim is to make Afrikans to take advantage of one big market to become bigger producers.

So What Really Do Afrikans Stand To Gain From The Trade Deal?

First of all you must understand that
1. Afrika has a population of about 1.25 billion people.
2. The ACFTA is the largest free trade agreement since the creation of the World Trade Organisation in 1 Jan 1995
3. And that Intra-Afrika trade 16%
Whereas Intra Asia trade is 51%
And Intra Europe trade is about 70%.
Therefore the Free Trade area is a goldmine that we have yet to explore just about to begin to explore.

So just as the AU envisions

I. The Trade deal will boost Intra-Afrika trade. According to the UN Economic Commission for Afrika  by the year 2022 that is just 4years from this year, Intra-Afrika trade will increase to 52% thanks to the trade deal.
II. Increased Productivity
0nly about 10% of Afrikan economy is on manufacturing.
The 52% Intra-Afrika trade means that half of the goods and services in Afrika shall be made in Afrika meaning that there is going to be high level of manufacturing of products and less importation in Afrika and less exportation of goods in their raw stages.
III. Therefore there will be a  reduction in unemployment, reduction of poverty and a rapid increase in the re-industrialisation of Afrika.
In summary, the ACFTA is an emphasis on production, productivity, less dependency, industrialization, and as President Kagame said "prosperity for Afrikans"

According to AllAfrika
"There has never been a better time to invest and trade in Afrika. With a combined GDP of US $ 6.7 trillion in purchasing power parity, business and consumer spending at US $ 4 trillion, over 400 companies with revenues of over US$ 1 billion, 60 per cent of the world's arable land and vast strategic minerals, Afrika seems ready to truly take off"

We can further make the ACFTA work by

I. Setting up more committees on the ACFTA to work with all component States on the agreement we need a committee on economics to  and a team on politics.
II. Setting up a medium to communicate to Afrikans about the deal:
a. To make us know what it is
b. Get the people involved
c. And show us how to make the best out of this great opportunity.
III. We need Infrastructural developments eg transportation. We need to link Afrika up by setting up ACRW (Afrikan Continental RailWay) to link the entire Afrika by speed train for easy movement of people and goods. Also, a continental road network to aid movement within Afrika.
IV. Develop a practical curriculum promoting science, technology, engineering, entrepreneurship, right from the primary and secondary levels if education so as to be churning out highly productive and self-reliant citizens of Afrika.
V. We should have a single Afrikan currency as soon as a year or even in few months time.

Afrika is on the right path of development and very soon we shall begin to sing the song of redevelopment across Afrika while we push for a deeper and higher level of unity.

I urge every Afrikan head of state who is yet to sign the deal to go ahead and do so, let us make it work, we have nothing to lose from the deal than we are to gain from our fellow Afrikans.

My last request here is that we should take a bigger step and unify Afrika as one country within one or two years so we can move fully into rebuilding the land of the beginning; the cradle of civilizations.

God bless Afrika
And grant the grace to rebuild Afrika

The Greatest Building On Earth is not in America or Europe but in Afrika

Pyramid of Giza after construction

Which building is the greatest building on earth?
Where is the edifice located?

Is the greatest building on earth the Taj Mahal in India, the Burj Kalifa in Dubai, the Pentagon in America, the Hagia Sophia in Instanbul, the Buckingham palace in London, or the Eiffel tower in Paris?

The greatest building on earth is not in Europe, or America, Australia or Asia. It is in Kemet, Afrika.

It was built 4,500 years ago in  BC by Pharaoh Khufu. It was built to last Forever and is doing just being the oldest and magnificent structure on earth and the only surviving and yet still intact out of the 7 wonders of the Ancient world.

The Great Pyramid of Giza contains 2.3 million individual blocks of stone, meaning one block would have to be laid every five minutes of every hour, 24 hours a day, for the entire 20 years.

The blocks used to build the pyramid weigh from 2,500kg to 30,000 kg each while modern blocks weigh about 16kg each and a car weighs 2,000kg and a Larry weighs 44,000kg.

And though the inner core of limestone blocks came from a nearby quarry, the decorative higher-quality white limestone on the outside had to be transported from across the Nile, while 374,785,846 pounds of pinkish granite was procured from over 500 miles away, according to Forbes.

THE ASTONISHING PRECISION AND DISTINCTION OF THE PYRAMID.

The exactness of the location is only one of many factors which demonstrate that the Great Pyramid embodies scientific purpose. The construction is amazingly precise despite the tremendous size of the blocks and scope of the project. The dimensions, internally and externally, relate to one another with mathematical perfection.

It is no wonder it was the “first wonder” of the world, and legend ascribed its construction to divinity. Legend is close—it was designed and erected under the supervision of Masters and Adepts.

A devout Presbyterian, Sir Piazzi Smyth, Astronomer Royal of Scotland, measured and studied every angle of the pyramid for 10 years, then publicly theorized that the Great Pyramid was “Divinely inspired to outline God’s plan for man’s history.”

The structure is the only eight-sided pyramid on Earth.
This strange phenomenon is visible from the sky and noticeable during dawn and sunset on the spring and autumn equinoxes, as the sun casts shadows on the pyramid.

Even more fascinating is perhaps the fact that scholars have determined that the pyramid is located at the exact center of the land mass on Earth. How on Earth did the Egyptians know where to place the pyramid,
if they could not fly, the world wonders

IT IS STILL MORE ADVANCED THAN TODAY'S TECHNOLOGY CAN BUILD:
According to Alex Blackraven on Quora,

"it is impossible to build an exact replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza today, because it was built with purpose and technology that we don't not even understand."

It’s a task so daunting, Forbes notes, that “Some authors argued that ancient aliens helped in the construction".

According to National Geographic "How the Pyramids at Giza were built is one of Egypt's biggest mysteries"

According to Ancient Egypt Online
"Even using current technology, the precision construction of a structure of this size is impossible. The base is level to within 15 millimeters, or .6 inch and the sides of the base are exact to within 58 millimeters of each other. It is aligned to true north with a 3/60 degree error margin."

IT WAS BUILT BY AFRIKANS
NOT ALIENS
According to Newstack
"There are even paintings on the wall of the tomb of a later Egyptian monarch showing workers (and not aliens) hauling a statue weighing 58 metric tons on an enormous hand-drawn sled."

NOT SLAVES
"Although the general consensus has been that the pyramids were built by slave labor, recent discoveries made nearby suggest that the pyramids were actually built by many thousands of skilled workers who were divided into groups according to their skills. Current estimates are that as many as 200,000 skilled laborers were used to construct the pyramid at Giza."

IT HAS WITHSTOOD EARTHQUAKES, STORMS AND ATTEMPTS BY ARABS TO DESTROY IT

"Since the foundations of the cornerstones have a ball-and-socket construction, the pyramid at Giza can withstand substantial temperature fluctuation as well as acts of nature, such as earthquakes, and still maintain its structural integrity. The Great Pyramid is the only pyramid to have this type of construction."

- Ancient Egypt Online

The pyramid withstood earthquakes in 1303 (Crete earthquake), 1847 (All-Fayyum) and 1992 M5.9 earthquake near Cairo

It also withstood attempts by Arab fanatical Sultan:
Al-Aziz Uthman (1171–1198) Sultan of Egypt tried to destroy the Giza pyramid complex. He gave up after failing to destroy the Pyramid of Menkaure after 8 months of foolishness because the task proved too huge.

He then set to try his hands on the pyramid of Giza
According to steemit:
"Al-Aziz then began to raise funds and recruit a true army of workers to realize this end.
For several months the workers tried all sorts of techniques to remove the  big and heavy stones of the Great Pyramid, only being able to remove  fractions of some stones located in one of the vertices.

The  talent of the Egyptian engineers was more than the fanaticism of the extremist, and during those months Al-Aziz squandered so much money to only cause a tiny damage that ended completely abandoning his idea of destroying the pyramids, fortunately for us."

The mystery about the greatest building on earth is that it was built by free Afrikans the original people on earth with the original wisdom, power and intelligence no other people on earth has ever rivalled.
When Afrikans become free again and in charge as in the days of Pharoah Kufu, then we shall begin to build new wonders in the world again.
